Twilight Races in Auckland at Ellerslie.

Barfoot & Thompson

Twilight Summer Night

Thursday 9 December 2021

We’re sorry guys. This raceday has been cancelled.

This decision was made by NZTR and was in keeping with current Government regulations around the COVID-19 pandemic and its implications on border restrictions.

Unfortunately, holding a race meeting in Auckland while its border is restricted is not feasible given the number and variety of industry participants who reside outside the region and who play a big part in our racedays.

Our hospitality team is in the process of contacting primary ticket purchasers with regards to refunds.

A party like nowhere else.

The festive season will descend upon us before we know it and as work slowly starts winding down for the year, your social life should be heating up.

Kicking off late afternoon & leading into a warm summer's evening, there's plenty of entertainment on offer at this party - whether it's out on the track or from around the bar.

An event not to be missed, think your standard raceday - glamorous & stylish - but at the same time fast-paced and action-packed.

It's racing as the sun goes down and that means get set to party!

Event schedule**

  • 3.00 pm: Gates & the Garden Party open

  • 3.30 pm: All other shared hospitality areas open

  • 4.15 pm: First race (of six)

  • 7.10 pm: Last race

  • THEN: The official onsite after party kicks off in Cuvée*

*All bars close shortly after the last race, except Cuvée and the Winning Post. Entry into these areas is subject to capacity and is R18 with an enforceable dress code applying.  Intoxicated persons will not be permitted or tolerated.

** All times are approximate and subject to change

Tickets & hospitality

This event SELLS OUT IN ADVANCE and has a range of ticketing options to suit any mood or budget.

Take your pick between shared hospitality precincts, your own  private space or even do it your way in general admission.

What to Wear

Part raceday, a lot party - we suggest you have fun with your outfit & incorporate a little 'cocktail hour' into your racewear look.

Headpieces aren't compulsory but an on-trend crown, headband or hair 'jewel' wouldn't go astray - it is the races, after all.
