A fantastic shared precinct for family or friend groups, seats are limited and this lounge will sell out.

 

And if you’re looking for a little more detail, you can simply revert to your table’s flat screen TV to watch the racing up close.

The menu for the day has been specially designed by award-winning Executive Chef Steve Barton who relies on the bounty of seasonal Kiwi produce, often incorporating produce grown sustainably onsite.

Due to COVID-19 regulations the following conditions apply:

  • No food or beverage to be taken outside

  • Ticketholders have access to the Silks precinct only

  • If you are driving, you need to park in our main raceday carpark 

  • You need to enter the racecourse grounds on foot via the main turnstiles at Gate 6  (refer to this map)

  • There are no pass outs and ticketholders are unable to leave the hospitality area to visit other areas oncourse including, but not limited to, the stables, parade ring or birdcage areas

  • The space is limited to 100 guests

  • Raceday attendees are required to wear face masks at all times except when seated and eating or drinking. This requirement is part of the COVID-19 Protection Framework and designed to keep our staff and patrons safe. Please do not be offended if you are asked to wear one. Attendees who do not comply may be asked to leave.**

  • Racecourse gates open at 11.30am* – this hospitality option also opens at 11.30am

COVID-19 UPDATE:

The Auckland region is currently sitting under the “Red” setting within the Government’s COVID-19 Protection Framework.  

 

Under this setting, events using the vaccine passport system cannot hold gatherings of more than 100 people in any one defined space. 

 

As a result, changes or cancellations have been applied to hospitality precincts and / or ticketing options in order to ensure the event can be safely conducted under the requirements of events at “Red”. The previous 'Guineas' offering on this day has now been upgraded to the 'Silks' room on Level 2 of the Ellerslie Stand with a maximum of 100 people (excluding staff) permitted.
 

TICKETING & HOSPITALITY  

Those primary ticket purchasers who had previously purchased tickets into the Guineas option will be contacted directly by the Club with regards to the options available to them which includes transferring to this upgraded space or a refund*. 

 

* The refund request cut-off is 5.00pm, Friday 11th February.

Other information 

  • On-site, overnight parking is free however we strongly encourage guests leave cars at home. Ellerslie Racecourse is located close to public transport networks including the Greenlane Train Station which is a 600m walk away

  • dress code is in place in all hospitality areas including Silks, plus certain other areas including the Ascot Stand. While we hate turning people away, the dress code will be enforced as required and entry will be refused if it is not adhered to. Please ensure anyone you are purchasing tickets for is aware of this

  • Tickets are non-refundable except under circumstances outlined in the ticketing terms & conditions and include a 2.5% transaction fee.  A separate booking fee of $1.50 per ticket also applies upon purchase

  • We encourage responsible drinking. Intoxicated persons will not be granted entry into, or tolerated within, Ellerslie Racecourse and will be removed from the grounds

  • We are a fully-licensed venue and BYO alcohol is not permitted

  • Promotional photographs, social media content & film footage will be taken at this event. By entering the racecourse, event-goers consent to use of their image by the Club & New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing for promotional purposes
