Do it your way
Come be part of the roar of the crowd!
Our general admission areas provide a relaxed, laidback way for eventgoers to enjoy their day and offer excellent viewing opportunities of the racetrack and associated areas.
With our brand new tie-up facilities built for the horses, and with general admission areas neighbouring the Parade Ring, Birdcage and home straight, you’ll have endless opportunities to get up close to these amazing animals in our general admission area.
When it comes time to race, you have the option of either enjoying exceptional views from the covered, outdoor seating upstairs in the Ellerslie Stand or get as close as possible to the thunder of the track from the open space of public lawns which neighbour the home straight.
The Newmarket Room, located on the ground floor of the Ellerslie Stand, is open to the public and offers a range of tasty food & beverages to purchase.
You’re welcome to bring along your own picnic food, unopened non-alcoholic beverages, as well as chairs & picnic rugs for use in our outdoor general admission areas.
You're able to bring your own picnic food & unopened, non-alcoholic beverages into outdoor general admission (public) areas on course & can purchase alcoholic beverages from bars on site. There are a number of food outlets on site too
