Need an insider tip? Keen to know how the track is shaping up?

Here's your preview to our upcoming raceday, complete with Craig Baker's thoughts on the day's feature race.

Track update

The track reading this morning (Friday) was a Dead 5 after 8mms of irrigation was applied last night.

We expect the track to be a Dead 4 tomorrow and be upgraded to a Good 3 at some point through the day.

See what our track manager, Jason Fulford, had to say this morning about how the track's shaping up (ft. a cameo window appearance from our rookie cameraman, Craig Baker):

Feature race preview

Race 6 | $70,000 Mitchell Family Bonecrusher Stakes | Group III | 1400m | 3YO | SW | 5.05pm

This year’s Mitchell Family Bonecrusher Stakes is an even edition without any stars at this early stage of the season.

However, many will be looking to run well prior to starting in feature three-year-old races over our SkyCity Christmas Carnival.

I really liked the way Jason Belltree hit the line when winning his most recent start at Counties on 31 October. He does have an awkward draw to overcome but, with the services of Leith Innes, I expect him to sit worse than midfield, peel out on straightening, and charge over the top of them.

The dangers include the Jamie Richards-trained, Perfect Scenario and Chad Ormsby-trained, Moana.
