Track update

At the time of writing (Wednesday 23 December), the track is currently rated a Dead 5.

Our aim is to provide a Dead 4 track on race morning so whether we irrigate again will depend on whether we get the forecast showers.

Here's what our track manager Jason Fulford had to say about the track earlier today:

Feature race preview

Race 9 | Cambridge Stud Zabeel Classic | Group I | $200,000 | 2000m | WFA| 5.15pm

Another even edition of the Cambridge Stud Zabeel Classic with a host of chances.

Vadavar (FR) is on top for me after his eye-catching fifth in the Group III Eagle Technology Stakes over 1600 here on 28 November. The step up in distance is going to be an advantage and, while he is likely to get back, I expect him to be hitting the line well. Good each way play.

Rock On Wood, after his last start Captain Cook Stakes win, is an obvious danger as is Concert Hall that has been in career best form this preparation.
