TRACKCHAT | Barfoot & Thompson Twilight Summer Night | 10 December 2020

Need an insider tip? Keen to know how the track is shaping up?

Here's your preview to our upcoming raceday, complete with Craig Baker's thoughts on the evening's feature race.

Track update

The track reading this morning (Wednesday) was a Dead 4 after irrigation was applied.

There's rain forecast today and in the early hours of tomorrow, so it's difficult to gauge what the track will be tomorrow.

However, we hope it won't be worse than a Dead 6.

Here's what our track manager Jason Fulford had to say about the track earlier this morning:

Feature race preview

Race 4 | First Global Logistics - Asendia 1400 | 1400m | OPN-HCP| 6.00pm

Bet of the night for me in this one with Super Strike. The Richard Collett-trained son of Super Easy has won three from six with three minor placings. From the draw, he will park midfield and will round them up in the straight.

Super Strike is heading to much better things, including a possible tilt at the Rich Hill Mile at the SkyCity New Year’s Day Races. Clear top pick!

The dangers include the ever consistent Money Trail and the Stephen Ralph-trained, Monaco.
