Here's everything Club members need to know in order to be able to come racing on Saturday 26 September 2020.
Due to the current COVID-19 alert level in Auckland, entry to Saturday's Spring Raceday is restricted.
If you are a member of the Club and would like to attend the race meeting, please keep reading to find out how to secure your spot. This information was also sent via email on 22 September to all those members who have registered their email addresses with us.
Sponsors and owners will have received separate communications via email from the Club.
Alert Level 2 and what it means for Club members at our Spring Raceday
Given Auckland will be in Alert Level 2 on Saturday, we'll be operating our race meeting a little differently to usual.
The Government requirement is that we have no more than 100 people in a defined space. A defined space is required to have its own contact tracing and/or register of attendees, individual bar and toilets, and no shared facilities with other groups.

Requirements of members wishing to attend
Where do I go? What can I do? What do you need from me? Members wishing to attend Saturday's race meeting will have the use of one of three rooms depending on their membership category and will need to abide by the below requirements in order to meet Government and NZTR guidelines:
You must RSVP to email@example.com by 5pm THIS Thursday 24 September
If you are driving, you need to park in the members' carpark
You need to enter the racecourse grounds on foot via the members' carpark turnstiles (refer to the map) Please note that members will not be able to enter the racecourse via any other entrance due to the need for us to ensure separate groups use different entry points
At the members’ carpark turnstiles, you will need to provide your name to one of the attendants who will tick your name off the RSVP list and then allow you into the racecourse To help ensure we have time to check names off, racecourse gates will open at 11.15am (the first race is set to run at 12.15pm)
Please follow any signage and maintain the appropriate social distancing measures as you make your way to your allocated room, and when in your room
Members have been allocated one of three rooms* for the day, depending on their membership category: - Premier Members - Lady Fisher Suite (L2, Ascot Stand) - Gold Star Members - Gold Star Lounge (L5, Ascot Stand) - All other membership tiers, including South Auckland - Takanini Room (L2, Ascot Stand) Further information as to what facilities will be available in each room can be found later in this post
You are not able to move between rooms or go to other areas of the racecourse for the duration of your visit - this includes going out to the tie-up stalls, the Parade Ring or to any other rooms or spaces that may normally be available on raceday. You must stay in your allocated room or within the defined, outdoor grandstand space that has been allocated to it
The Raceday Office will be open to general enquiries only and will not have racebooks in stock
Complimentary racebooks will be available in the allocated rooms
Cash-out facilities will be available at the bars; however we also suggest you bring cash with you
Exit the racecourse via the members' carpark turnstiles
* In the event more than 100 people RSVP to any one room, another room will be allocated to accommodate that overflow
RSVP - How to secure your spot
As numbers must be restricted to 100 people in defined spaces, we ask that you contact our membership secretary, Kim Steven-Riley, via firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm THIS Thursday 24 September if you wish to attend the raceday.
Given the restriction on numbers, you will not be able to purchase any additional members' guest passes on the day, however you are able to use any pre-purchased season guest cards.
Please ensure to include anyone who may be using your pre-purchased season guest card(s) on Saturday when making your RSVP.
WHAT FACILITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE IN:
The Lady Fisher Suite for Premier Members?
Table service food & beverage, betting outlet, and toilets via the Mitchelson Room, plus access to the room's covered, outdoor balcony
The Gold Star Lounge for Goldstar Members?
Bar, afternoon tea served, betting outlet, plus toilets and access to covered, outdoor grandstand seating
The Takanini Room for all other membership types?
Bar, food and betting outlets, plus toilets and access to covered, outdoor grandstand seating.
WHAT IF I HAVE A HORSE RACING OR AM SPONSORING A RACE ON THE DAY?
If you are a 'dual attendee' on the day (i.e. a member with a horse racing; a member that is sponsoring a race) you must select which one of your allocated room options you wish to base yourself from (owners and sponsors will receive emails outlining their allocated rooms and entrances) and make that known at the time of your RSVP.
You will not be able to move between the allocated owner and member areas - you need to opt in to which category you'd like to fall under for the day at the time of your RSVP.
ARE MASKS REQUIRED?
We recommend that you bring and wear a mask or face covering as per the Government's recommendation, however this is not mandatory.
We will have hand sanitiser stations at the entrance to your room.
