Jockey Comments: McKee Family Sunline Vase

We spoke to jockeys competing in the McKee Family Sunline Vase to get their comments on how the race went.

1st: Communique Michael Walker

Nice filly. Obviously my first ride on her, she has a big future. Knew nothing but still won. Imagine what she can do when she knows what to do.

2nd: Karalino Craig Grylls

Great run. They went slow early and got dragged back in the field. She got the splits and sprinted hard but got outstayed by the stablemate.

3rd: Meghan Leith Innes

Super run by her.

4th: Bergamot Matt Cameron

Good run. They went slow and had to make a move but found wanting the last bit.

5th: Seven Seas Rosie Myers

She is a bit dour, so that will top her off nicely for the Oaks.

6th: Pineapple Girl Michael Coleman

God run. When they sprinted home was a bit dour. Good run heading towards the Oaks.

7th: Kiapaki Rad Danielle Johnson

She went good. Any rain in the Oaks and she's a chance.

8th: Darcee Que Ryan Elliot

Jumped well and didn't want to be too handy. She needs a shower and she'll be alright.

9th: White Hibiscus Sam Collet

First time here at Ellerslie, she got a little lost. She's better left handed.

10th: Octave Shaun McKay

Go back and they went slow and when they sprinted, left her flat footed. She'll improve with the run.

Last: Amal Rose Vinnie Colgan

Very disappointing run.
