We spoke to jockeys competing in the Karaka Million 2YO to get their comments on how the race went.
1st: Cool Aza Beel Opie Bosson
Got a beautiful run. Probably over-raced a little in the middle stages but had a very good kick.
2nd: Play That Song James McDonald
Went really good. Loomed up to win, just beaten by a better horse on the day.
3rd: Taroni Mick Dee
Good run. Little slow away but run worked out. She got home well.
4th: Bordeaux Le Rouge Craig Grylls
Great run. Settled behind midfield, got all the nice runs through and he's hit the line hard. Probably six months away. He's a really nice horse.
5th: Dragon Queen Matt Cameron
Top run. Just needed the rub of the green in the straight. Hit the line well.
6th: Amor Fati Lynsey Satherley
She tried really hard. Good run from her.
7th: De La Terre Ryan Elliot
Had to go back from the wide draw, worked through the middle up the straight and changed ground three times. She's done well.
8th: Helsinki Michael Coleman
Nice run but lacks experience.
9th: Trident Vinnie Colgan
Nice run. Probably ready for a spell.
10th: Tivaan Warrior Andrew Calder
She was in a nice position early. Followed the winner, pushed a little wide at the 700m just put her off balance. She's still raw, so she will be better for the run.
11th: Not An Option Leith Innes
He got checked half way down the straight. Maybe a better horse left handed.
12th: Lovebug Sam Spratt
Was a fraction slow but got to the lead easy, travelling good on the corner but got out-sprinted.
Last: Hasstobemagic Danielle Johnson
Disappointing run. Probably feeling the track.
