Jockey Comments: Haunui Farm King's Plate

We spoke to jockeys competing in the Haunui Farm King's Plate to get their comments on how the race went.

1st: Spring Heat Danielle Johnson

She was super strong to the line today. She has the form on the board, she throws in an odd bad one but lucky enough she's had a good one today.

2nd: Its Destiny Child Andrew Calder

Very good run. I wish the winner had come alongside her to give her a little more kick. Really happy with the way she's going. She's had a good season and probably ready for a break.

4th: Shezallmine Cameron Lammas

She went very good. She got carved up a bit at the start, come from the back but just came to the end of it.

5th: Short Fuse Lynsey Satherley

Massive run. Proud of the mare. She's come from last, her last bit was super.

6th: Evalina Micheal Coleman

Stuck three wide throughout but hit the line well.

7th: Speedy Meedy Chris Dell

Conditions of the race probably didn't suit. Better off on the minimum.

9th: Dama Zorro Taiki Yanagida

Others in front were too good.

8th: Red Chois Craig Grylls

Sat in a good spot, couple ran off at the top of the straight and ran on well.

10th: Rock 'N' Affair Rosie Myers

Thought we had it half way down but she came to the end of her run.

11th: Santa Monica Jason Waddell

Disapointed with my ride.

12th: Salt Bay Shaun McKay

She's gone well. She's dropped back to 1200m and they've gone a bit too quick for her.

Last: Molto Veloce Sam Collett

Recent racing has caught up with her.
