Here are comments from the jockeys in the Cambridge Stud Almanzor Trophy that was run here at Ellerslie as part of the New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Million.
st - Need I Say More - Troy Harris - He got away well then crowded a little bit.He got a nice run into it around the corner then he let go good with the big weight.
nd - Explosively - Leith Innes - Super run. He's still a bit green.
rd - Babylon Berlin - Michael McNab - She went really good. Just a little bit flat the last bit.
th - Ever So Easy - Craig Grylls - Got back on the fence but came through them nicely like he was going to go on with it. Maybe looking for 1400m now but a really good run.
th - Maria Farina - Sam Weatherley - She may have a problem. She got to them pretty quick and then pulled up pretty quickly. Wouldn't surprise me if something has gone wrong.
th - Helsinki - Danielle Johnson - She travelled up well but just failed to fire in the straight. She'll go out for a well deserved break now.
th - So Gorgeous - Sam Spratt - Nice run after finding the speed a bit quick early on but ran on nicely.
th - Cadeau - Sam Collett - Had a nice run outside the leader but just failed to fire.
th - Najah - Chris Johnson - Got caught wide and handy and effort told in the end.
th - Autobahn - Wiremu Pinn - She's gone a really nice race. She's just not up to that class at the moment.
Last - Miracles Happen - Trudy Thornton - He'll come into his own in the Autumn.
