We spoke to jockeys competing in the Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup to get their comments on how the race went.
1st: Roger That Sam Collett
He gave me a dream ride throughout and he really toughed it out.
2nd: Sound James Winks
Got a good run but found one better again.
3rd: Platinum Invader Leith Innes
Super run. Only being a four-year-old, better things next year.
4th: Etah James Shaun McKay
She's gone a huge race. She hit a flat spot at the 600m mark and took a while to wind up, once she wound up she hit the line good. Brave effort.
5th: Joe's Legacy Michael Coleman
He's run a great race. A drop of rain would help a lot.
6th: The Good Fight Sam Weatherley
He's run really well. Needs some easing of the ground, that's when you see him at his best.
7th: Azuro Opie Bosson
Got a little far off them but thought I was half a chance but he didn't really let down on the hard track.
8th: Felaar Matt Cameron
Really good run, just doesn't see out the two miles.
9th: Gorbachev Jonathan Riddell
Pulled a bit but he had his chance.
10th: King Of The Dance Cameron Lammas
He went alright. He ran midfield just kept battling away.
11th: Soleseifei Trudy Thornton
Battling bit of a run. Got held up momentarily but she had his chance.
12th: Bully Boy Danielle Johnson
Didn't see out the distance.
13th: Dee And Gee Leah Hemi
Found the two miles too far.
14th: Excalibur Sam Spratt
Just a bit unlucky.
15th: Dragon Storm Lynsey Satherley
Track too firm. Pulled up short.
16th: Big Mike Vinnie Colgan
I gave him a bit of a dig and was probably the wrong thing to do, I couldn't slow him down and he faded.
Last: Paisley Park Johnathan Parkes
He had to lead up the rest of the field to the front runner and just battled towards the end.
