Auckland Thoroughbred Racing has today announced the winners of the Club's most recent fashions in the field competition - SkyCity Fashions in the Field "The Online Edition".
Taking out the top score from competition judges Sarah Stuart, Di Goldsworthy, Hannah Marinkovich, Carena West and Kate Gourdie (from SkyCity Entertainment Group) was Waikato's Eleanor Campbell (pictured) who is no stranger to The Ned Prix de Fashion, earning a spot among the five Grand Finalists in last season's competition.
For her competition entry, Eleanor teamed an Only One Ashley dress with Monika Neuhauser millinery, accented by vintage jewellery.
In addition to getting that sought-after spot in the national fashions in the field final, Eleanor took home a prize package that included:
Two nights' at the SkyCity Grand incl. breakfast valued at $818 and;
A $200 food and beverage voucher for use at SkyCity restaurants
Tradtionally, this competition is held as part of the SkyCity Boxing Day Races and sees two women ("First" and "Second") qualify for The Ned Prix de Fashion.
However, with crowd numbers limited due to the event being held under the COVID-19 Protection Framework's 'Red' setting, the competition was moved online.
With those women living in Northland, Auckland or upper Waikato having been unable to strut their stuff on a runway for the majority of the season thanks to such COVID-19 restrictions that also included border closures, the decision was made that this year's additional qualifier would be the highest points scorer residing in any one of those three areas.
That person was Tess Woolcock, from Auckland.
Tess wore a customised Gucci dress with Claire Hahn millinery - created from the dress offcuts. She then added red accessories; a Jacquemus handbag and slingback pumps from Zara to complete the look.
As part of her win, Tess also gained a spot in the national fashions in the field final, and that great $1000+ SkyCity prize package.
