We spoke to jockeys competing in the Cambridge Stud Zabeel Classic to get their comments on how the race went.
1st: True Enough James McDonald
We got a nice run from the draw. When asked for an effort he showed a good turn of foot and was too good.
2nd: Fiscal Fantasy Leith Innes
Great run just couldn't peg back the winner.
3rd: Beauden Ryan Elliot
Got squeezed back but has come through them changing ground up the sraight. Good run.
4th: Mongolian Marshal Opie Bosson
Did a bit of work and battled on gamely.
5th: Pinmedown Mick Dee
Massive run. If she drew a gate she would have gone close to winning.
6th: Vernanme Danielle Johnson
Traveled up to the leader as if to pass but disappointed in his finish.
7th: Triptronic Cameron Lammas
Just pulled a little hard and didn't have much left.
8th: Queen Of Diamonds Craig Grylls
Had a nice run in transit, but come to the crunch didn't show anything. Track maybe a touch firm for her. She didn't let down like she can.
9th: Charles Road Troy Harris
A little naughty in the gates cost me a couple places in the running but just battled in the straight.
10: Orakei Overlord Alysha Collett
He didn't have the turn of foot to get across and into position and that was it.
11th: Peso Rosie Myers
Track a little too firm for him now
12th Contessa Vanessa Rory Hutchings
Got a nice run trailing the leader but showed nothing from the home turn.
Last: The Mitigator Shaun McKay
Got a nice run outside the leader but didn't show much from the corner.
