We spoke to jockeys competing in the Boutique Body Corporates Great Northern Hurdle to get their comments on how the race went.
1st Bad Boy Brown Isaac Lupton
He went really well. He gave me a great ride and deserved the win.
2nd Laekeeper Shaun Fannin
Great run. Just got out-toughed towards the line.
3rd No Tip Aaron Kuru
Pretty happy with the run. First season. Should have run fourth but fought on for third. Be better next year.
4th Magic Cannon Reece Cole
Good run in his first run in open company. He'll be better next year.
5th Delegate Matthew Gillies
Very testing track. He doesn't like it that pluggy. He tried hard. He'll be better next year.
PU Alfie Dee Buddy Lammas
Didn't like the track conditions. He hung the second half of the second lap.
PU King Oberon Shaun Phelan
Hated the track conditions. He'll be a better horse on a better track and next year.
PU Arite Guru Toni Moki
Travelled well but hit a fence down the back straight and it knocked the stuffing out of him. Disappointing.
PU Trisha Lea Charlie Studd Great run in step up in grade. First time hurdler. Track was too tough.
