We spoke to jockeys competing in the Piazza D'Oro Auckland Futurity Stakes to get their comments on how the race went.

1st: Rhaegar Michael McNab
Beautiful horse. Hadn't done much and Murray put the blinkers on, trialed on Monday and did everything spot on. We got a good run in the race and he finished strongly.
2nd: Long Jack Jonathan Riddell
Got a bit too far back and nothing let me in. Favourite went no-where, and once he let down he hit the line strong. A good horse.
3rd: Jennifer Eccles Donavan Mansour
Unfortunately the horse on my inside knocked up at the turn and she is only a small filly but in six months time she will be winning the features.
4th: Avadane Cameron Lammas
Big run. Just got shuffled back a couple spots further back that I wanted and pushed out wider. She went good.
5th: Showbeel Matt Cameron
Huge run. The wide draw dictated where we rode her. She got back and flew home. She'll be a lovely three-year-old.
6th: All the Rage Trudy Thornton
Ran a nice race. He'll be a nice three-year-old.
7th: Sherwood Forest Troy Harris
Jumped into a nice spot. Got going before the turn but knocked up bad in the last 200 metres. He'll take a lot of merit from it. He's been up a long time, go out for a spell and come back a better horse.
8th: Selenelion Craig Grylls
Had nice enough run. Travelled up well in behind , just probably a little weak. Progressive filly.
9th: Happiness Forever Rogan Norvall
She went alright. She ran home ok but that's about all.
10th: Custom Crusier Michael Coleman
Too slow.
11th: Quiz Kid Kelly McCulloch
Lovely big horse but disappointing today. Probably go out for a spell now.
Last: King Midas Andrew Calder
Nice little horse. Just wanted to go a little too hard and maybe better over shorter distances.
