Buffalo & Co Champagne Stakes: Jockey Comments

We spoke to jockeys competing in the Buffalo & Co Champagne Stakes to get their comments on how the race went.

1st: Quick Thinker Matt Cameron

Super run. Pulled his way to the front and was too good for them.

2nd: Ranger Andrew Calder

We got a pretty cheap lead, saw the mile out and fought to the line well.

3rd: Rendition Leith Innes

Nice run. She'll be a nice three-year-old.

4th: Checkers Craig Grylls

He ran a good race. At the top of the straight we didn't get much room, was blocked for a run. Went to the inside but closed up on me. He was a bit unlucky.

5th: All The Rage Trudy Thornton

A very good run. He's going to be an outstanding three-year-old. He's still learning the ropes.

6th: Sherwood Forest Donavan Monsour

He's just inexperienced. He'll learn from the run.

7th: Shakespeare Vinnie Colgan

A nice horse. Will be better next year.

8th: Glinda Goodwitch Sam Collett

Unsuited by the slow tempo. Probably better as a three-year-old.

Last: In Fashion Ryan Elliot

Got left behind and was never in the race.
