Looking for more tips on what to wear to Saturday night's New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Million?
Luckily for those of us in need of some hot tips, our raceday style ambassador Hannah Marinkovich has put together some of her favourite trends to help draw inspiration from.
I’ve put together some of my favourite current trends that are gracing the runways that could be amazing incorporated into raceday fashion.
Oversized gold jewellery and tortoiseshell accessories
Gold jewellery is still a huge trend, with oversized gold earrings everywhere you look.
I’m especially loving gold hoops, gold stacks (if you have multiple piercings) and tortoise shell jewellery and pieces with a combo of both.
The Glitter Trend
Fabric textures and detailing can really make an outfit interesting - think sequins, diamantes and beading.
This trend is no longer just reserved for evenings out and has been seen all over the international runways for 2018/2019.
I am obsessed with this Alberta Ferretti outfit and Gucci skirt which would give you endless options for playing with colour.
Statement Hair Clips
Statement hair clips are having a moment, try mixing up your millinery and choose a stack of them on one side of your head with a side-part in your hair, or on both sides with a middle part as seen on the Versace runway.
Fringed fabric adds movement and texture and it is definitely being spotted everywhere. I love it in this gorgeous pink, Herve Leger Dress (pictured left).
See you at the Karaka Million!
In between juggling her day job as a digital marketer, attending the races, being a wife and dog mum, Hannah also finds time to maintain a lifestyle website. Check it out here or visit her gorgeously-curated Instagram account
