Christmas Carnival Boxing Day Races: Shaw's Wire Ropes Uncle Remus Stakes Jockey comments

We spoke to jockeys competing in the Listed Shaw's Wire Ropes Uncle Remus Stakes on Christmas Carnival Boxing Day Races to get their comments on how the race went.

1st Hypnos Ryan Elliot (a)

We just had to follow the right horse in the race and he won very nicely.

2nd Dawn Patrol Jason Waddell

He was very brave. The track was too wet and he was a little wayward, but we will tinker with some gear and we will try and correct that.

3rd Pullyoursocksup Sam Spratt

We got a nice run in transit and she finished off well. I think she will improve off that run.

4th Lincoln Falls Jonathan Parkes

It was a really good run to finish where he did, especially considering where he has come from in the run.

5th Vernanme Michael McNab

He ran really good. It was a slow tempo, but he managed to sprint off it really well.

6th Mr Universe Shaun McKay

It was a really good run from horse that needs a firmer track, he has plenty of ability.

7th In A Twinkling Opie Bosson

It was a disappointing effort to be honest. We got a gap at the same time as the winner but we weren't going good enough at that stage.

8th Sam's Song Lynsey Satherley

He is just six months away at this stage. The track didn't help at all, but he will be better with another six months on his side.

9th Bobby Dazzler Samantha Collett

He was very disappointing. He hasn't raced for a while and may have needed the run, the track wasn't ideal either but he still disappointed me.

Last Tiger Silk Andrew Calder

We had a pretty tough run in transit and the wet track just tripped her up.
