We spoke to jockeys competing in the Group 2 Cambridge Stud Eight Carat Classic on Christmas Carnival Boxing Day Races to get their comments on how the race went.
1st Pinmedown Jake Bayliss
She jumped okay, but they went very slow. She relaxed super, which is promising from an Oaks perspective. I was a little worried on the corner, but she flew late and was just too good.
2nd House Of Cartier Samantha Collett
It was a huge run in this company. She got through the ground okay and she will only improve with more racing.
3rd Queen Of Diamonds Matthew Cameron
It was a good run. She just couldn't quicken the same on the puggy ground. She is much better on top of the ground.
4th Musical Blues Taiki Yanagida (a)
She travelled beautifully. We were just caught wide. She just isn't up to this company yet. Give her more time and she will be.
5th Espresso Martini Opie Bosson
She went well. I probably ended up getting there too soon in the straight. All in all it was a good effort.
6th Rip Em Up Jason Waddell
It was a nice enough effort on that track.
7th Spring Bouquet Shafiq Rusof
She just didn't like that ground.
8th Annie Okay Vinnie Colgan
She was disappointing. We had a nice run but she didn't quicken in that going.
9th Van Irving Michael McNab
I would give her an excuse on the heavy track and we got a bump at the top of the straight but I was really never going good enough. She has much more ability than that.
10th The Real Veel Sam Spratt
We were stuck a little wide but I think the track tripped her up.
Last Media Sensation Michael Coleman
She was very disappointing today. There might be a health issue there. That was well below her best.
