Exhibition gallops
Media Sensation Michael Coleman
The day out here would do her good. She was a quite fresh, she had a good look around the place but I was really happy how she worked through the line.
Sword Of Osman Opie Bosson
He felt really good. It was a nice relaxed gallop which he did under his own steam. I was very happy with him.
Exuberant Jason Waddell
He was working at a leisurely gallop to just stretch his legs and have a look around Ellerslie for the first time. He was on the wrong leg on the last bit around the corner but that's why we brought him here for that experience. He'll head to the Eclipse Stakes and will run well.
After each race, we spoke to jockeys of beaten favourites to hear their thoughts.
Race 1: Ross Reid Racer 1200
Markle Leith Innes
She had a easy lead from the ace draw. Finished just over two lengths from the winner. She'll improve with the run.
Race 2: Ross Roof Runner 1400
Langkawi Shaun McKay
It was a huge run. We sat outside the leader, he dropped the bit and was gawking around. When they went past him, he quickened again and hit the line well. I think he's looking for a mile.
Race 3: Stella Artois 1400
Let's Do This Michael McNab
She ran well. She got pushed to the middle of the track and battled on in the home straight.
Race 4: Mag N Turbo Catch Me If You Can Soul Man 1600
Star Karen Michael Coleman
She ground away a bit in the run home but hit the line well. Improving filly.
Race 5: Perpetual Pacer 1300
She's Not Bad Opie Bosson
She had every chance. Disappointing run.
Race 6: Wood For the Trees & Auckland Harley Davisdon Bat Out Of Hell 1200
Darci Palmer Opie Bosson
He didn't feel good in his action. He was beaten at the 200m mark.
Race 7: Barfoot & Thompson 3YO Salver
Cutadeel Opie Bosson
Won
Race 8: Dunstan Feeds 1500 Championships Qualifier
Penteverest Jason Waddell
