Christmas at the Races Barfoot & Thompson Day: Bonecrusher Stakes Jockey comments

We spoke to jockeys competing in the Group 3 Bonecrusher Stakes on Bonecrusher Stakes Raceday to get their comments on how the race went.

1st Spirits Aubeer Rowena Smyth

That was great. He got his own way in front and he relaxed beautifully. He lengthened out in the straight. He still did a few things wrong so he's still got some improvement in him.

2nd Surely Sacred Leith Innes

Came from a long way off them. We got a nice run along the inside. A good effort.

3rd Hypnos Ryan Elliot

We had a bad gate, so we went back. Had a tough run, went wide and came home nicely.

4th Total Excess Michael Coleman

Nice run by him. He kept finding the line. Up and comer.

5th Masetto Trudy Thornton

He has a lot of talent. The further he goes the better he's going to be. I got stuck out wide doing a lot of work. It was good run. He's a very smart horse.

6th Cantstopthefeeling Andrew Calder

A nice run. He didn't get a lot of luck early. We were trapped three wide without cover and got pressed wider at the corner but he kept coming to the line. Impressed with the run.

7th Star Performer Vinnie Colgan

He'll appreciate going past a mile the better he'll be. He'll benefit from today's run

8th Roll the Dice Michael McNab

Once he gets over a trip, he'll be super.

9th Langkiwi Grant Cooksley

Unavailable to fall post race.

10th Bocce Patrick Pilley

He didn't quite see out the trip.

1th Cavallo Veloce Shaun McKay

I'll just give the race a miss. He really didn't see any daylight and he's a colt that needs room. He'll be better next start.

Last Quizmaster Cameron Lammas

Something wasn't quite right today. Didn't fire at all.
