OMF Melbourne Cup Day: OMF Stakes Jockey Comments

We spoke to jockeys competing in the OMF Stakes to get their comments on how the race went.

1st Saint Emilion Jonathan Riddell

Tough run but fought back brilliantly by a very good horse.

2nd Lizzie L'Amour Matthew Cameron

It was a great run. She didn't find that turn of foot on the better track. She had to go past a few slow ones to get where we were but she hit the line well. Top run.

3rd Hello It's Me Cameron Lammas

A very good run. Cruised up to look like she was going to win. She has taken time to get race fit so next time. Hopefully

4th Authentic Paddy Robert Hannam

Good honest run again. He tried hard but the winner was too good.

5th Waipipi Lad Shaun McKay

It was a good run. They ran quite hard up front, he was able to drop the bit and relax. He was honest to the line and had a good blow afterwards so he'll improve with the run.

6th El Fernando Vinnie Colgan

Back all the way flat. Struggled in the run home.

7th Blue Breeze Sam Spratt

Got a nice run but didn't finish it off. Might be feeling the harder ground.
