We spoke to jockeys competing in the Mufhasa FastTrack Stakes on Vodafone Derby Day to get their comments on how the race went.
1st Astor Samantha Collett
It was obviously very tough. She had to do all the pressure work up front. We were tackled at the 200m but she was still too tough and kicked again.
2nd Caesour's Dream Mathew Cameron
It was a top run. I didn't think the 1300m would suit. We took a sit and she relaxed nicely. It was a good stakes performance.
3rd Ladynadel Danielle Johnson
It was a gutsy effort today. She was under the pump a long way out. Maybe 1400m might be better for her next start.
4th The Great Southern Jonathan Riddell
It was a good run. He was strong to the line and the 1600m will suit him better.
5th Fancy More Jordan Jason (a)
Yeah I was very happy. It was a solid run. She picked up really nicely off a fast pace. The further she goes with a little cut in the ground. She is good enough to get one of these races.
6th More Ock Sam Spratt
He went a nice enough race. We just didn't have enough speed early when we wanted to be handy, but he boxed on alright.
7th Felton Road Leith Innes
He was a tad disappointing. He wanted to over-race early and was found wanting late.
8th Honesty Chris Johnson
We went back from the wide draw. She did well to run past a couple but she did find it hard to make up ground.
9th Iffindoubt Jason Waddell
Last Bridal Veil Jake Bayliss
She will be a better horse next preparation. She was still a bit weak today and felt the ground a touch.
