We spoke to jockeys competing in the Mongolian Khan Trophy on New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Million Raceday to get their comments on how the race went.
1st Melody Belle Opie Bosson
She didn't even get out of second gear. She has come back super.
2nd Astor Samantha Collett
It was a top run. The best thing for her was probably being a touch slow away. I got on Opie's back and she found the line nicely.
3rd Gift Of Power Chris Johnson
It was a nice run. She had to work early but still didn't kick like she usually does. I guess thats due to the fast pace.
4th Ladynadel Danielle Johnson
It was a great run from her today. She was knocked around a little in the straight. She did hit the line well and I think she will get up over 2000m.
5th Short Fuse Cameron Lammas
She went well. She is probably just looking for a little more ground in this company.
6th Caesour's Dream Mathew Cameron
It was a nice run. She was a little keen in front but back in grade she will be better off I feel.
7th Bombard Michael McNab
She travelled up nicely but she just wants a nice Dead 5 track.
8th Beyond Dispute Alysha Collett
He was a bit disappointing today.
9th Merlini Leith Innes
As soon as I took a sit on him he just hung off the track.
Last Devine Love Jake Bayliss
It was a hard field today and she isn't fully fit. She is better being chased rather than doing the chasing. Back in grade I think she can win next start.
