We spoke to jockeys competing in the Karaka Million 3YO Classic on New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Million Raceday to get their comments on how the race went.
1st Scott Base Rosie Myers
He went super. He showed that great sprint and was too good today.
2nd Embellish Opie Bosson
It was a good run. He just got to the front and had a good look around.
3rd Savvy Coup Michael McNab
We almost fell at the 1400m. She was brave to run where she did.
4th Kapoor Danielle Johnson
She went super, the interference late really didn't help her.
5th Ever Loyal Leith Innes
It was a great run. He did all the donkey work and will improve off that.
6th Danzdanzdance Mathew Cameron
It was huge. From the draw, we went back and her last 600m will be interesting.
7th Hard Merchandize Cameron Lammas
It was a big run. A bit more easing in the track would have been up his alley.
8th On The Rocks Jake Bayliss
He will be a better horse when he learns to take a sit in behind them.
9th Hasahalo Sam Spratt
She had a nice run but just didn't sprint like she can do. She may just be better left handed.
10th Scream Park Hugh Bowman
It was too firm for him today.
11th Marcellina Michael Coleman
She ground home okay.
12th Athletica Jonathan Parkes
It was an okay run.
13th Contessa Vanessa Ryan Elliot (a)
No hope from where we were in the running.
14th Smokin' Oak Samantha Collett
We jumped awkwardly and had to race in tight quarters. He will learn a lot from the experience.
15th Alternative Fact Alysha Collett
She needs a wet track.
16th Mighty Power Jonathan Riddell
It was a bit of a sub-par effort. He may have just had enough.
Last Secret Ambition Mark Du Plessis
He was short stepping the whole way.
