We spoke to jockeys competing in the Hallmark Stud Handicap on our Christmas Carnival Boxing Day Races to get their comments on how the race went.
1st Savile Row Leith Innes
It was a huge effort. I thought we had got beat but he is going in the right direction.
2nd Passing Shot Samantha Collett
It was a brae effort especially backing up from the 1400m last week which probably just took a little of his sharpness away.
3rd Chambord Opoe Bosson
We just got held up and should have won.
4th Joy Anna Mark Du Plessis
It was a really good run for her first start in this grade.
5th Volks lightning Ryan Elliot (a)
It was a good run. She just blew out late. A better track will help.
6th Rocanto Danielle johnson
He may have felt the effects of his recent racing, especially with his tough run second up.
7th Chachar Mick Dee
It was a little bit disappointing. We had a good run but she came to the end of it the last 300m.
8th Somethingvain Sam Spratt
She went nice. You just can't be caught wide in a field like that.
Last Mahalo Michael Coleman
We got blocked for a run quite badly.
