We spoke to jockeys competing in the Dunstan Feeds 1500 Championship Final on our Christmas Carnival Boxing Day Races to get their comments on how the race went.
1st Livin' On A Prayer Cameron Lammas
It was huge considering she was caught wide throughout. I asked her and she just kept kicking away from the rest
2nd King's Cross Danielle Johnson
If it was 1600m I think we could have won.
3rd Monrecour Vinnie Colgan
It was a nice run. With a better draw I think we would have won.
4th Brighton Opie Bosson
It was a good run from a bad draw with a big weight.
5th Top Prospect Andrew Calder
He ended up a little closer than I would've liked but he just didn't sprint like I thought he would.
6th Red Tsunami Mark Du Plessis
It was a really good run on the back up. More rain would help her.
7th Lovers Lane Mick Dee
It was very good. She jumped a little slow and if she landed handier I think we could've gone close.
8th Arundel Shaun McKay (a)
We followed the winner the whole way but I think he is looking for 2000m.
9th Buy Me A Rock Leith Innes
She jumped up as the gates opened and just didn't have a chance after that.
10th I See Red Sam Weatherley (a)
It was a good run from the draw and she had to work the whole way.
11th Cinematic Rosie Myers
We travelled into it well but couldn't let down.
12th Rikki Tikki Tavi Samantha Collett
She was a little disappointing, maybe she didn't stay the trip.
13th Spindle Sam Spratt
She travelled okay but just didn't show anything late. Maybe she was having a bad day.
14th Arraignment Michael Coleman
He was disappointing.
15th Creative Genius Mathew Cameron
He was very disappointing after having a nice run in transit.
