Christmas Carnival Boxing Day Races: Cambridge Stud Eight Carat Classic Jockey Comments

We spoke to jockeys competing in the Cambridge Stud Eight Carat Classic on our Christmas Carnival Boxing Day Races to get their comments on how the race went.

1st Contessa Vanessa Ryan Elliot (a)

We had a beautiful run and she dove through strong late for the win.

2nd Kapoor Danielle Johnson

It was a super run She is definitely looking for the 2000m.

3rd Gris Dame Cameron Lammas

It was a great run for her first go at 1600m. She just lacks a little raceday experience.

4th Spring Heat Jake Bayliss

She jumped well and travelled nicely. We had to ride for luck and I thought we hit the front but she just peaked late.

5th Lily The Pink Mathew Cameron

It was a good run. She pulled a little down the back and it was a big step up so quickly but she will be better New Years Day.

6th O'Hara Samantha Collett

It was a game effort for a one win horse. She will improve.

7th Sandrine Leith Innes

The quick back up probably didn't help her.

8th Hasahalo Sam Spratt

She went well but I think the off track didn't help and I feel she might be a horse who is in-and-out with her form.

9th Charli Rose Jonathan Parkes

She is a nice filly but I think she is looking for the paddock.

10th Trail Blazer Michael Coleman

She was disappointing.

Last Princess Rihanna Mick Dee

She was very disappointing today.
