Auckland Age Concerns Raceday: Auckland Age Concerns 3yo Salver Jockey Comments

We spoke to jockeys competing in the Auckland Age Concerns 3yo Salver on Auckland Age Concerns Raceday to get their comments on how the race went.

1st Formidable Leith Innes

He didn't get all favours. They told me to ride him patiently and he got there in the end. It was a good effort.

2nd The Boy Wonder Patrick Moloney

He ran terrific. We just got pestered by one horse which caused me to flush out a little earlier than I would have liked. He is definitely a nice stayer with a good future.

3rd Secret Ambition Mark Du Pleases

It was a really good effort for his first go over ground. He could make a Derby horse at this stage. He peaked at about the 100m mark but that was just due to this being his first run over ground but it will help make him into a nice horse.

4th Alternative Fact Alysha Collett

It was a fantastic run. She will be a great 2400m horse.

5th Ripinhet Trudy Thornton

He is a nice horse, I think he is just a bit of a baby. He kicked nicely but still didn't run home as well as I thought he would. He is possibly a horse that just wants some head gear.

6th Eitilt Mathew Cameron

He was quite disappointing. I think that he just isn't quite up to some of these nicer 3yo's. He will keep, especially with a little more moisture in the ground.

Last Unnameable Samantha Collett

He just raced a little bit fiercely and green early which left him wanting in the end.
