CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
relating to COVID-19

COVID-19 vaccine certificates are required
  • Anyone* planning to enter the racecourse is required to present a valid “My Vaccine Pass” (Aotearoa New Zealand ‘s official COVID-19 vaccination record)  for scanning upon entry. This pass will be scanned using the NZ Pass Verifier application with entry granted to those people showing a double-vaccinated status*.

  • Attendees and site visitors may also be required to show a valid form of photographic identification

  • Anyone* who is unable to show a valid “My Vaccine Pass” will not be permitted into the racecourse and no refunds will be given.

* Children under the age of 12 years and three months, as well as those who present a valid "medical exemption from [the approved COVID-19] vaccine(s)" as issued by New Zealand's Ministry of Health in conjunction with a matching and legal and valid form of photographic identification, are not required to show a valid My Vaccine Pass in order to obtain entry into our site(s).

 

Record keeping / scanning 

  • In addition, attendees and site visitors are are reminded that record keeping and / or scanning when visiting businesses is required or encouraged (depending on the current "traffic light" level)

  • Attendees and visitors are strongly encouraged to sign-in to the venue using the NZ COVID-19 Tracer app. QR codes for scanning will be on display at the main entrance, at other points throughout the racecourse and in the racebook.  If required, manual sign in forms will also be available at the main entrance (Gate 6), the Raceday Office and in the foyers of the grandstands

While the scanning and sign-in process is designed to be as straight forward as possible, delays and/or queues may happen. Attendees are encouraged to factor this into consideration when planning their journey to the racecourse and their final destination(s) on course.

 

Mask wearing

Depending on Auckland’s traffic light status, Auckland Thoroughbred Racing (ATR) requires or encourages attendees and visitors to wear masks as follows:

 

  • Red – Required; but can be removed for the consumption of food and beverage.  Please note: face coverings must also be an actual mask, meaning bandannas, scarves, and t-shirts are no longer acceptable 

  • Orange – Encouraged; but can be removed for the consumption of food and beverage

  • Green – Encouraged indoors; but can be removed for the consumption of food and beverage.

 

Health & safety

ATR takes the health and safety of its staff and attendees seriously. We kindly ask that anyone who is experiencing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or any other illness stays away from the racecourse or leaves immediately in the event symptoms or illness start to appear while they are on course.
