Role: Food and beverage duty managers

Department: Events, Ellerslie Event Centre

Contract: Permanent

We’re on the hunt for some highly-skilled food & beverage duty managers who enjoy working in both the back & front-of-house, assisting with the day-to-day operations of what is a very busy department!

Reporting directly to our assistant operations managers, you must have strong skills in managing multiple functions and coordinating with all relevant departments simultaneously. 

 

You will have a minimum of three years' food and beverage experience, good leadership qualities with a great understanding of food and beverage operations and management, Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
 
Hospitality experience, a general manager's certificate and flexible availability are compulsory.  In return, we can offer you comprehensive training in your role and assist you to reach your personal and ongoing development.

Role: Food and beverage attendant/bartenders

Department: Events, Ellerslie Event Centre and Auckland Racing Club

Contract: Casual

We’re on the hunt for experienced food & beverage attendants to work as a casual team member for both the Auckland Racing Club & Ellerslie Event Centre.  We host over 1000 events and 19 race meetings annually and this position plays an important role in contributing to the success of our business. 

 Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure excellent and professional client service at all times

  • Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverage

  • Able to work well within a team environment

  • Communicate efficiently and co-ordinate with team members, supervisors, kitchen and other areas of the operation

  • Able to set rooms when required to the floorplan and requirements of the client

  • Comply with all company Health and Safety requirements

  • Assist with set ups by lifting, pushing, pulling tables and chairs etc

  • Assist back of the house team when requested

  • Ensure equipment is in full working order and report and defects.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial

  • Able to work with a high degree of attention to detail

  • Have a high level of personal presentation

  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays

  • Have high energy and can do attitude

  • Able to work autonomously when required

  • Able to perform physical work over an 8 hour period.


Hourly rate $19.50 - $21.00 depending on level of experience.
