"Dress to the nines with a touch of blue."
Racegoers are encouraged to dress to the style theme and although it's not required, it's a great place to start if you aren't sure what to wear.
A dress code applies in many areas including the Ascot Stand & hospitality precincts. While we hate turning people away, this will be enforced as required.
We've got the entertainment sorted with free children's entertainment available throughout the day, horses to pat PLUS The Dunstan Feeds Auckland Clydesdale Cup (preview video below).
We offer free access into our stabling area (within the public viewing pathways) so you can go visit every horse that's racing on course & wish them good luck.
Children under the age of 15 years get free general admission (GA) into the racecourse - no ticket required.
You can also bring along a picnic lunch with unopened, non-alcoholic beverages (plus blankets and chairs!) to enjoy in outdoor GA areas.
Enter our “Pick the Winner” competition on the day and you could be winging your way there!
Simply pick which horse you think will win the Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup®, pop your entry in the corresponding box before entries close at 5.15pm AND, if your pick wins the race, you’ll go in the draw to win two tickets to Las Vegas (ex Auckland) flying Hawaiian Airlines including a Cosmos “Highlights of the Canyonlands” tour courtesy of Globus Family of Brands. **
The party continues
Once the last race has been run and the jockeys have hung up their saddles, join us in our on-site bar, Cuvée*, to celebrate the end of Auckland Cup Week® 2020.
Entry into Cuvée is free after the last race (appropriate ticket required prior); R18; dress code applies; intoxicated persons not permitted or tolerated.
Auckland Cup Day proudly supported by

Attending the races offers the perfect opportunity to dress to impress. While we hate turning people away, the dress code will be enforced as required and entry will be refused if it is not adhered to
Tickets are non-refundable
