Whether you want to party it up, network up a storm in a corporate marquee or private space, live it up in a shared dining precinct such as Cuvée or Silks, or park up in general admission areas & soak up the racing and free family entertainment, there's something available for you.
"Dress to the nines with a touch of blue if you choose"
Racegoers are encouraged to dress to the style theme and although it's not required, it's a great place to start if you aren't sure about what to wear.
A dress code applies in many areas including the Ascot Stand, hospitality precincts and after the last race in Cuvée. While we hate turning people away, this will be enforced as required.

Everyone can go into our stabling area to visit every horse that's racing & wish them good luck (refer to the racebook map for public accessways).
Picnic lunches with unopened, non-alcoholic beverages (plus blankets and chairs!) are welcome to be brought into outdoor GA areas.
Plus! Under 15s get free general admission.
You're able to bring your own picnic food & unopened, non-alcoholic beverages into outdoor general admission (public) areas on course & can purchase alcoholic beverages from bars on site. There are a number of food outlets on site too

Senior citizen general admission rates apply at the gate on the day

A dress code is in place in all hospitality areas and certain other areas including the Ascot Stand. While we hate turning people away, the dress code will be enforced as required and entry will be refused if it is not adhered to. Please ensure anyone you are purchasing tickets for is aware of this
** All bars close shortly after the last race, except Cuvée & the Winning Post Bar. R18, dress code applies, intoxicated persons will not be permitted or tolerated, entry subject to capacity
We are a fully-licensed venue and encourage responsible drinking. BYO alcohol is not permitted and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry into, or permitted at any time within, the grounds
We strongly encourage cars be left at home and alternative methods of transport are chosen. Ellerslie Racecourse is located close to public transport networks including the Greenlane Train Station which is a 600m walk away. Taxis are also able to drop off and pick up on site
Free car-parking is available on course on a first-in, first-served basis
Promotional photographs, social media content & film footage will be taken at this event. By entering the racecourse, event-goers consent to use of their image by the Club & New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing for promotional purposes
