Anniversary Weekend Raceday
Sunday 30 January 2022
COVID-19 update
Auckland moved to the COVID-19 Protection Framework 'Red' setting on Monday 24 January 2022. Due to the short timeframe between then and this meeting, the decision was been made to restrict entry to this raceday to those owners who had horses racing and those who worked in critical roles that allowed the race meeting to go ahead.
-
Owners were emailed by the Club with an outline of entry conditions that also asked them to come on course just to watch their horse(s) race from their nominated room, then depart immediately after
-
Club members were not able to attend this meeting unless they had a horse racing on the day and were attending in the capacity of an owner
-
Primary ticket purchasers and private event bookers were contacted directly by our hospitality team with regards to refunds which were made in full, less the booking fee
-
The Racecourse operates a a “vaccination required venue” while Auckland operates under the COVID-19 Protection Framework ("traffic light" system), or similar. As a result, racegoers (with some exceptions; see here) are required to present a valid COVID-19 Vaccine Pass along with a suitable form of photographic identification in order to be able to enter the racecourse. Learn more about our conditions of entry relating to COVID-19 or click here to see how we operate under the 'Red' setting.
We understand that some people may find this decision disappointing. However, we also hope you will appreciate that doing our part to ensure the health and safety of our industry so that racing may continue in these times is of the utmost importance to us.

This raceday was originally scheduled to be held at Pukekohe Park - however it was shifted here to Ellerslie due to renovation work on the venue's racetrack taking longer than anticipated.
